A small business requires a straightforward marketing website to display product information, business hours, and contact details. They did not require a full application backend, dynamic content, or a complex hosting environment. They wanted:
A low-cost hosting option
High availability with minimal maintenance
Simple updates
Global reach for their customers
I created an Azure Storage Account, which serves as the foundation for hosting a static website. Azure Storage provides a scalable, secure, and cost-effective platform for static content.
After deployment, I accessed the Storage Account from the Azure portal to configure it for static website hosting. This account uses the StorageV2 kind, which supports static website functionality.
Within the Storage Account settings, I enabled the Static website feature. I configured the index document (index.html) and error document (error.html), allowing Azure Blob Storage to host and serve the website content directly.
